SVG → PNG: workflow and output
Convert a SVG image into a PNG copy when another application requires that format. The browser decodes the source pixels and exports a new file; the original is kept separately.
How to use SVG → PNG
- Choose the SVG image, checking that it opens correctly.
- Run the conversion and inspect the PNG preview.
- Download the result and verify dimensions and important details.
Example and result checks
The synthetic SVG sample produced a decodable PNG file. Ordinary raster conversions keep decoded dimensions; SVG dimensions depend on the source artwork and its declared size.
What this tool does not do
SVG is vector artwork; PNG stores pixels at the browser-decoded size. Review small labels and details, and keep the SVG if you need later scaling without rasterisation.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
Renaming a filename extension does not change its format. If decoding fails, export a fresh copy from the source application. A PNG conversion is for compatibility, not automatic enhancement or a guaranteed smaller file.
