Resize & Compress: workflow and output
Prepare an image for both a pixel-size requirement and a file-size limit using one export. Width, height, output format and quality are available together.
How to use Resize & Compress
- Start with the requested dimensions, leaving one blank to retain proportions.
- Choose JPG or WEBP for photographic content and reduce quality gradually.
- Compare the downloaded size with the upload limit and repeat if needed.
Example and result checks
The 800 × 400 test image resized to 400 × 200 with a width-only setting. Each run creates a new copy, so the source remains available for comparison.
What this tool does not do
There is no exact target-KB setting. Output size depends on detail and format; changing pixels and changing compression quality solve different parts of the problem.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
If a file remains too large, reduce dimensions when permitted. For logos with transparency use PNG and check edges; lowering a PNG quality slider alone will not reduce its size.
