Pixelate: workflow and output
Create a blocky image effect by reducing detail and scaling the small image back up without smoothing. Pixel size controls how coarse the result becomes.
How to use Pixelate
- Choose the image and set Pixel size.
- Process and inspect the entire preview.
- Download the PNG when the visual effect suits your purpose.
Example and result checks
Larger Pixel size values produce larger blocks while the output retains the source dimensions. The effect applies to the whole image.
What this tool does not do
Pixelation is not a reliable method of removing confidential text or identifiable information. Details may remain inferable, especially with small blocks.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
For sensitive material, remove the content entirely in a suitable editor and review the exported file. Use this tool for visual styling rather than a privacy guarantee.
