Line Sorter: workflow and output
Sort the lines of a text file into browser-locale alphabetical order. Use it for a small name list or another collection where one entry occupies one line.
How to use Line Sorter
- Choose the text file with one record per line.
- Process and inspect the sorted preview.
- Download the TXT result when the ordering suits your use.
Example and result checks
The sample’s Alpha and Beta lines were sorted alphabetically. Duplicate lines are retained unless you separately use Duplicate Line Remover.
What this tool does not do
This is a text sort, not numeric sorting or a spreadsheet row sort. Letter case and accented characters can follow the browser’s locale rules.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
For numeric amounts or records with several columns, use a spreadsheet that keeps each row together. Avoid sorting a multi-line paragraph as though its lines were independent entries.
