File Info: workflow and output
Inspect file properties provided by the browser: name, type, size in bytes and last-modified time. This can help diagnose an upload that rejects a file.
How to use File Info
- Choose the file without editing or renaming it first.
- Run the inspection.
- Read the TXT report and compare its type and size with the upload requirements.
Example and result checks
The report uses the selected file’s properties. Byte size is separate from image resolution or document page count.
What this tool does not do
Reported modification time can reflect a download or copy rather than the original creation date. This report is not a deep forensic or embedded-metadata analysis.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
If the type is unknown, inspect the source application and extension. Use Image Info for pixel dimensions and MIME Inspector when you only need the browser-reported type.
Processing and privacy: This workflow processes selected input in your browser. Required libraries or models can load from third-party hosts. Keep the original file, review the output and read our Privacy Policy before working with sensitive information.
