Remove exact repeated lines while retaining the order of their first occurrence. Use it to clean a pasted export saved as a text file.
How to use Remove Duplicate Lines
- Choose a readable text file with one entry per line.
- Run duplicate removal.
- Compare the preview with the original and download the cleaned TXT.
Example and result checks
The sample Beta, Alpha, Beta became Beta, Alpha: the first Beta stayed in place and the later identical line was removed.
What this tool does not do
Matching is case-sensitive and whitespace-sensitive. “Beta”, “beta” and “Beta ” are distinct values. It does not sort the remaining lines.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
If visually similar duplicates remain, compare spaces and capitalisation first. Keep the original when repeated lines might represent intentional repeated events or transactions.
