Image → Data URL: workflow and output
Create a data URL containing the image’s MIME type and Base64-encoded bytes. It can be used in a small self-contained HTML or CSS example.
How to use Image → Data URL
- Select an image supported by your browser.
- Process it and download the text result.
- Copy the complete data: URL into the field that accepts it.
Example and result checks
The output begins with a media-type prefix followed by an encoded payload. It represents the source file rather than a compressed substitute.
What this tool does not do
Embedding large images can enlarge a document substantially and make it slower to edit. The receiving application may restrict data URLs or their maximum length.
Troubleshooting and choosing the right workflow
If a preview fails, check that the entire string was copied, including the comma separating the prefix from the payload. For a normal website, a regular image file is often easier to maintain.
